Prairie

I've finally started to sit down and paint some more. Here is one I call the Prairie.

IF: Fearless

This idea came about as I remembered walking to the restroom in the dark when I was a child. My imagination used to come up with all sorts of things lurking in the shadows. This sketch is a twist on that, with a monster child imagining human arms reaching for him in the dark. The fearless part is of that child braving the mind to push through the dark and of me for posting something undone...a big fear of mine. Here's to braving the unknown. I plan on finishing this one and posting that as well.

Illustration Friday: Parade

When I saw this weeks topic, I immediately thought about the people watching the parade. I went cartoon on this one and for some reason I've been gravitating more that direction. What do you think?

Illustration Friday: Hierarchy

This is my first submittal to Illustration Friday. I've long watched and wanted to participate just never really jumped in. I had a number of ideas for this topic but being out of practice, I easily became frustrated with each attempt. I'm posting a finished drawing and one that I was working on for this topic. My style varies each time I start to draw. I hope you enjoy my interpretation and I welcome any comments.
